| Aug 2007 saw the Corroboree at Mt Ive in the Gawler Ranges with
63 vehicles (from WA, Tas, Qld and anywhere in between') in attendance and 159 sitting down to
tea on the Sat night. During Sat and Sun utes travelled out to Lake Gairdner (where the land
speed records are annually held and also to other spectacular spots on the station.) Len and Joy
the owners are wonderful hosts and welcome 4WD enthusiasts as there is plenty to see and do!
Following the Corroboree 12 vehicles travelled to Coober Pedy then along the Anne Beadell Highway
to Vokes Hill, down to Nullabor, back to Ceduna then up Googs Track and back to Mt Ive. Karen and
Macca from Red Desert Tours
capably led once again and commented that it was one of the most spectacular trips they had done. |
